Driving through a busy city in a truck or bus requires total concentration at all times. Potentially dangerous situations are all around the driver, whatever the weather, day or night. The nearside blind spot is a particular area for concern with the number of accidents involving pedestrians and cyclists increasing and something that the driver needs to be constantly aware of.
The latest digital camera technology has enabled Xvision to develop a 4 camera DVR recording system that links to our proximity sensor systems offering a high resolution 120° degree view of the blind zone. This is activated when an object enters the proximity sensor detection zone allowing the driver to see the object that activated the sensors, bringing difficult to see objects, cyclists and pedestrians sharply into view. Positioning the cabin monitor within the driver’s peripheral, or indirect view ensures the images are seen by the driver while they can maintain concentration on the road.
The screen and camera combination can be supplied as a stand-alone system or with any of our proximity sensor systems as required, your Xvision consultant can advise what’s the best solution for your needs.
